## What a planet is

A planet is a separate workspace. It has its own context, files and conversations, so work on one project does not mix with another. What you put in one planet stays there.

## When to create a planet

Create a planet for each area of work you want to keep apart: a client, a project, a company or your household. For a one-off question, a new conversation in an existing planet is enough.

## Using a planet well

Put the material you will come back to into the planet and name it after the work, not the date. When a project ends or its context changes fundamentally, start a new planet rather than rewriting the old one. The agent then works with what really belongs to the job.

Planets are separate workspaces within one account. Your plan and its limits belong to the account, not to a planet. Website sign-ins stay with your account.
