What the website and app remember, and how to choose whether AI-help history is saved.

## Who and where

The operator is Ladislav Hájek, Czech business ID 74349155, Zlatnická 247, 250 73 Jenštejn, Czech Republic. Contact: [support@steerbay.com](mailto:support@steerbay.com). Cookies are small records sent with network requests; local storage keeps values in your browser. Both are subject to device-access rules. This notice distinguishes the public website, signed-in app and agent's browser.

## Public website

We use no advertising cookies, analytics tracking or embedded advertising pixels. Fonts are self-hosted. The necessary steerbay:privacy:v1 local-storage record remembers your choice and its date for 180 days; no choice is treated as consent. After expiry, we ask again on your next visit. This record is not a cross-site tracking identifier.

Optional steerbay-help:cs and steerbay-help:en records keep help history, at most 20 exchanges per language, and question-limit status. They are read and written only with consent. After 30 days from the last save, they are removed on your next visit. Without consent, you can use help on the open page. A closed page cannot run cleanup, so a stored record can physically remain until your next visit or until you clear storage.

## Your choice

The same link is in every page's footer. Without saved history withdraws consent and removes saved conversations in both languages on this domain. The open conversation stays in page memory. New conversation clears that language's history. Your choice applies only to this browser and domain, does not sync with your account, and does not change cookies in the agent's browser. With JavaScript off, no optional history is saved; remove older records through your browser settings.

## Signed-in app and payments

The account website uses the necessary secure tars\_account cookie, valid for 12 hours; a tars\_session session can last up to 30 days. These technical names come from an earlier product name. The app also uses session storage and, when remembering sign-in, local storage for an access token and profile. Signing out, revocation or expiry can end a token's server validity; clearing app data removes physical records. Interface preferences and drafts can remain until changed or cleared. These functions serve requested sign-in and work, not advertising.

WorkOS, Google or GitHub sign-in and Stripe payments have their own necessary cookies and security controls under their policies. Opening an external service is not consent to its optional tracking. The public website's choice does not switch off functions necessary for secure sign-in.

## The agent's browser

The Browserbase cloud browser can keep sign-ins and cookies for sites you authorize it to use. It is separate from your device's browser, so clearing local cookies does not clear a cloud session. Sign out in the agent's browser too, or ask us to remove its state. Destination websites' cookies follow their own choices and policies.
